President Donald Trump endorsed Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s reelection bid Sunday, offering a high-profile show of support as Israel’s longest-serving prime minister seeks another term amid pressure at home and conflict with Iran. In a Truth Social post, Trump praised Netanyahu’s backing of the United States, including during the war against Iran. He called Netanyahu a “Great Warrior Prime Minister” and a partner for peace in confronting the Islamic Republic. Trump also said Netanyahu had stood firm despite “tremendous opposition,” including opposition within Israel. He described the prime minister as strong and resilient, concluding: “BIBI NETANYAHU WILL NEVER LET YOU DOWN!” Netanyahu said he was “honored and humbled” by the endorsement. The endorsement publicly aligns Trump with Netanyahu as the Israeli leader seeks reelection. Trump’s remarks placed particular emphasis on their cooperation against Iran, making the two leaders’ security partnership a central theme of his support.
